Introducing text (Pay per click) PPC Adverts

Text PPC Adverts are the most popular advertising format in online advertising. They are easy to create and amend, are familiar to online consumers and are a simple way to market your site on the internet.

A text PPC Advert on the Netklix network is made up of four main parts:

1) Headline

This is likely to be the first thing that catches the eye of someone seeing your advert, as it appears at the top. A catchy Headline is vital if you want someone to read the rest of your message. You have 25 characters (letters or numbers) to get it just right.

2) Advert Text

The Ad Text is the largest part of your PPC Advert, giving you 70 characters to get your message across. This is where you communicate the key unique selling points which differentiate your product or service from your competitors.

3) Display URL

This is derived from your website URL e.g. www.abc-example.com. This will be displayed at the bottom of the PCC advert, without the "www." and introduces the reader to your website before they click through to your site.

4) Destination URL

Although this is not displayed within the PPC Advert, this is very important. The Destination URL is the specific web page that you want users to be directed to once they have clicked on your PPC Advert. This can be a tracking link that logs the click on your tracking software; the only requirement is that the final destination domain is the same as the Display URL/Homepage Address.

How your account is structured

It is likely that you will want to promote more than one product or service from your site or sites.

Structure of a Netklix PPC Advertising Account

Multiple Websites

Each Advertiser account on the Netklix network is structured so that you can market multiple websites within one account.

This is especially useful for people managing campaigns on behalf of a number of third-parties e.g. media agencies.

In addition, each site can have a number of campaigns attached to them.

Multiple Campaigns

A Campaign should be thought of as a group of PPC Adverts with a common theme.

For example, if you are running a Summer Sale you may wish to group all PPC Adverts related to that event together within one Campaign.

Similarly an Advertiser promoting their online department store may wish to create a Campaign to contain the PPC Adverts for each individual department. Every site on an Advertiser's Account can have an unlimited number of Campaigns.

Multiple Adverts

A PPC Advert contains the creative message you want to use, as well as information on which channels you want your PPC Advert to run in and your Maximum CPC. Each PPC Advert contains a Headline, Ad Text, Display URL and Destination URL. Adverts are grouped by Campaign and each Campaign can contain an unlimited number of PPC Adverts.
